We use 100% premium Neoprene and durable Silicon leather derived from natural Silica (aka sand). Both lightweight sustainable and waterproof fabrics. If you get caught in the rain you won’t have to worry about keeping your laptop dry. If you ever spill anything on or in the bag just wipe it down with soap and water to clean plus all of the packing pouches are machine washable. 

With Neoprene's stretchy nature you can fit a surprising amount of stuff when using the packing pouches. In this scenario you want to use the utility strap to compress everything together and add an extra layer of security to your bag.
