Travel changed me forever.
I took my first trip with my 6th grade class to Washington, DC. That bus trip opened my eyes to so many possibilities outside of the routine I knew at home. I can’t fully describe it- but If I daydream on the moment for a while I can see young Riss, sitting on that bus, eyes glued to the highway views outside of my window.
I don’t remember much else about that trip – but that moment planted a seed in me that is still growing and glowing today. Since then, young Riss has found herself in London, Paris, South Africa, Haiti, Colombia, Jamaica, and all over the United states.
I owe so much of my evolution to the mental, spiritual and physical renewal travel grants you. That opportunity to experience God from a different hemisphere is incredibly revealing.
